Forensic Agrology Services

What is Forensic Agrology? Forensic Agrology is the science of agricultural investigation to produce independent and systematic data for use in debate, discussion, or legal processes. There is a need for Forensic Professional Agrologist services.  The science of agrology is constantly changing and the use of findings is often legally relevant.   Forensic Agrologists must be trained in the most current methods of investigation into agricultural practices and outcomes.

Do you have Crop damage? A Forensic Agrologist will confidentially investigate, observe and document symptoms, damage, and collect samples, as a third-party independent, expert witness.  Samples will be sent confidentially to accredited facilities for independent testing.  Some issues dealt with include: spray drift, sprayer residue issues, residual chemical complains, fertilizer issues, improper chemical use, crop damage from chemicals.

Forensic Agrology Report contains: A Forensic Agrologist will establish liability, and determine damages, where necessary.  Mediations services available.

George Lewko PAg, has been a Professional Agrologist since 1994.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the College of Agriculture 1992 (Major: Crop Science Minor: Horticulture).  He completed his Forensic Agrology Certificate from the University of Saskatchewan in 2006.  South-west of Prince Albert, he operated his family grain farm until a combine accident in 1997.  George has taught the Pesticide Applicator Course from SIAST.  He has settled many disputes in crop damage, spray drift, and herbicide efficacy.  He holds a current Pesticide Applicator License.

George is a Past President of the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists (S.I.A.) 2005-2006.  He has been the Past President of the North-East Branch (formerly Melfort Branch) twice, 2003-04, 1998-1999.  He has and currently helps instruct the S.I.A. Professionalism and Ethics Seminar, which is a required course for all Articling Agrologists and Articling Agricultural Technologists.  He has been on and chaired the S.I.A. Disciplinary Committee.
